Focus and Scope

The journal 'Social Sciences' publishes results of research on complex social problems which require interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approach.
We seek to include contributions on complex issues related to individual, group, organization's performance and its improvement, processes of integration both from a general philosophical point of view and with reference to global and local environment.
There is also a focus on articles devoted to the development of social research that contribute to improving the ways of addressing complex social issues. This distinguishes the journal among other publications in the field.

Peer Review Process

Only the articles that are positively evaluated by the reviewers assigned by the Editors are published in the journal VieĊĦoji politika ir administravimas. Every single contribution submitted to the journal and selected for a peer-review will be sent to, at least, one reviewer, though usually could be sent to two or more independent reviewers if further advice is required. The primary purpose of the review is to provide the editors with the information necessary to make a decision. The review should also instruct the authors on how to strengthen their paper up to the point where it should be acceptable. A negative review should explain to the authors the weaknesses of their manuscript, so that rejected authors are able to understand the basis for the decision and see, in broad terms, what needs to be done to improve the manuscript in order to be published anywhere.
